Draft. Ellie to check and fill in the bracketed details before launch.

Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the details you give The Waggle Club. The short version: Ellie uses them to reply to you, nobody else gets them, and the website deletes them after 6 months.

Who we are

The Waggle Club is a dog walking business in Hertfordshire, run by Ellie Duffy. She's responsible for your information. You can contact her at [email protected].

What we collect

When you fill in the booking form we get your name, your dog's name, your email address or phone number, your postcode, what you need, and anything you tell us about your dog.

We don't use adverts, tracking cookies or outside analytics services. The site sets two small cookies that keep the form working securely. They expire after two hours.

To see how many people visit, the site counts page views itself, without cookies. It stores the page, the day, which website sent you (just its name, like google.com) and a code made from your connection that changes every day. That code can't be traced back to you and isn't linked from one day to the next. Your IP address isn't stored. Visit counts are deleted after 13 months.

Why we use it

Only to reply to your enquiry and arrange a meet and greet. The legal basis is that you've asked us to get in touch (steps before a contract), and our legitimate interest in answering messages.

We never sell your details, share them for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

Where it goes and how long we keep it

Your enquiry is stored on our web server (in the UK) and emailed to Ellie. The website deletes enquiries automatically after 180 days. If you become a customer, Ellie keeps the details she needs to look after your dog for as long as she walks them, and for a short time after.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Just get in touch. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
