Hi, I'm Ellie, and welcome to the very first post on The Waggle Club blog.
I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. Right now I share my home with two Yorkshire terriers, Myla and Ted. They might be small, but they've got enormous personalities, and they're the best reminder I know of just how much a good walk can brighten a dog's day.
Life with Myla and Ted
Anyone with a Yorkie will know: they're little dogs who don't know they're little. Myla and Ted love being out and about, sniffing every corner and making friends wherever we go. Spending my days with them is what made me realise that looking after dogs is exactly what I want to do.
Why I started The Waggle Club
Life gets busy. Long days at work, commutes, school runs, last-minute plans. And while we're rushing about, lots of dogs spend hours waiting by the door for someone to come home.
I wanted to offer the kind of care I'd want for Myla and Ted: someone kind and reliable who treats every dog as if they were their own. So I set up The Waggle Club, my own dog walking business here in Hertfordshire.
What the club offers
- Solo walks, for dogs who want all the attention
- Small group walks, with dogs matched by size, breed and energy
- Enclosed field walks, for safe off-lead fun in a private, fully fenced field
- Puppy and home visits, a pop-in while you're out
After every visit you'll get a photo and a quick note, so you can see exactly how much fun they had (and how muddy to expect them).
Come and say hello
If you'd like your dog to join the club, the best place to start is a free meet and greet. I'll come and meet you both, learn their routine and their quirks, and make sure we're a good fit.
I can't wait to meet you.
